At Q Print, we put our clients at the heart of everything we do and enjoy working with many businesses from a diverse range of sectors including accountants, legal, automative, those from the sustainable sector as well as coaches and wellbeing businesses. We help our clients to establish a strong presence in their marketplace through creating impactful print solutions.
With this in mind, we wanted to share a recent client case study with an amazing accountancy firm, based locally near us in Biggleswade – George Hay Chartered Accountants.
About George Hay Chartered Accountants
Established in 1939, George Hay Chartered Accountants have evolved far beyond the traditional label of an “established” accountancy practice. Working with businesses across the East of England, with offices in Biggleswade, Huntingdon and Letchworth, the firm prioritises personable service and making a lasting impact. The team continuously adapts its approach, offering bespoke, value-driven solutions that respond directly to the changing needs of its clients.
The firm’s service offering spans accountancy, advisory and bookkeeping, through to digital transformation, payroll and sector-specific support. The firm enables organisations to operate with confidence and clarity, reinforced by specialist capabilities delivered through GH Audit Ltd, GH Probate Ltd and GH Wills Ltd.
The project brief and challenge
The team reached out to Raina at Q Print to coincide with a refresh of their logo. Their requirements included printing of professional stationery, advisory in respect of print and display, as well as the procurement of branded merchandise and equipment for events. Ashleigh (Marketing & Business Development Manager), reached out to us here at Q Print after a colleague, who knew Raina via networking, recommended her. We set up a discovery call with Ashleigh to understand the full scope of what they were looking for. Ashleigh’s brief emphasised the importance of colour consistency across their printed items, quality of the end result, sustainability where possible and cost effectiveness.
She also wanted to make sure the paper used had a premium feel and was suitable for each of the individual items. For example, their Tax Guide needed to be really smart – the cover was striking, but we were able to make a cost saving by making the internal pages simpler. We also discussed other money-saving ideas, such as bulk ordering and stock holding to keep costs down. One of the reasons they contacted us was because they knew Q Print could accommodate all of their requirements from printing stationery, conference or event displays and promotional merchandise.
The print campaign
We had multiple meetings with the team at George Hay Chartered Accountants to discuss various print and promotional item options. They worked with a designer to review their logo and colour palette, Raina assisted with establishing Pantone references to be included in the firm’s brand guidelines.
So far we have delivered 14 different types of letterheads to reflect each of the individual offices and services, 4 different types of compliment slips, legal document corners, a 2026 Tax Guide booklet, as well as branded pens and roller banners for an upcoming event.
The results
The client has been really happy with the result of our project, and we have achieved a lot in a short space of time. We worked closely with the internal team, frequently checking in on progress. We also worked with the designers to set up the Pantone references and brand guidelines for future projects, plus printed all of their new branded stationery, on time and on budget. We were able to not only ensure we negotiated a good price for the project, but we also arranged print samples to ensure we achieved the colour consistency needed, before starting the large print runs.
What happens next?
We really enjoyed working with Ashleigh and the team. We now need to start to think about planning for 2026, which we will aim to do in early January. The team have a big event coming up in Q1 for which they will require merchandise and display solutions. We have discussed lots of options, from table cloths, stretch fabric counters, pens, roller banners, mugs, tech promotional gifts, coasters, bags, laptop bags, trolley coins, sticky note pads, piggy banks, desktop roller banners, strut cards and polo shirts, we look forward to supporting them with this. Exciting times ahead for Ashleigh and the team – watch this space!
Client testimonial:
We have loved working with the George Hay Chartered Accountant’s marketing team, thank you for your kind words below:
“We contacted Q Print in early 2025 to explore how they could support us with our print and display requirements, following a refresh of our logo and colour palette which meant that we would need to revise all of our professional stationery, merchandise and promotional material.
From our first few emails back in March, to now, Raina has helped us to achieve a lot in a relatively short time and has gone above and beyond with advisory support and in-person meetings to discuss our options.
She has listened to what is important to us and made certain that this is catered to every time we place an order. The stationery and materials we have received so far have been excellent, and have really done the new logo justice! Our first print run was complex, including lots of different documents, but Q Print handled it efficiently, and delivered on time and within budget.
As a marketer, I am very detail oriented and like everything to be just right, which is why working with Raina has been so enjoyable. She gets it, and her reassurance and attention to detail has given me confidence throughout our time working together.
We have lots of exciting plans for 2026, and are looking forward to working with Q Print on these!”
